More about Chase Sapphire Lounges
Chase is partnering with Airport Dimensions to develop their lounges. Airport Dimensions currently operates more than two dozen lounges around the world, most of which are branded “Club” or “Club Aspire” and are mainly available through Priority Pass membership.
Chase lounges are expected to offer more upscale amenities than you’ll find at some of the other Priority Pass locations, including amenities such as showers and family rooms, business lounges, and wellness and relaxation areas.
Boston (BOS) location
This place This is the first Chase lounge to open in the US and is easily accessible to passengers departing from any terminal. It offers a spacious and well-lit environment with great views for aircraft watching.
The lounge features a self-service buffet, à la carte options using QR codes, a full-service bar serving cocktails with local influences, and a unique craft beer tavern.
In addition, the salon has wellness rooms with massage chairs and comfortable sun loungers for relaxation.

Hong Kong (HKG) location
The Chase Sapphire Lounge in Hong Kong opened in October 2022, making it the opening of the first Sapphire salon. It is located in the West Concourse of the International Departure Area near Gate 40. The lounge is also accessible for passengers departing from the East Concourse by shuttle or a 10-15 minute walk.
Las Vegas (LAS) location
Chase’s plans to open an outpost in Las Vegas first surfaced in public council documents from the Clark County Commission.
The 4,500-square-foot hall will be quite small, especially considering how many cardholders are likely to have access.
The lease is intended to be located just behind security at Gate C in Terminal 1, where Southwest’s Sin City operations are primarily located. Travelers departing from Terminal 3 need to take the train to Gate C to access the Lounge.
Location of New York LaGuardia (LGA)
Details about this place are the hardest to find. It will be located at the airport’s new Terminal where you will also find Amex Centurion Lounge (opened June 2021).
Location of Phoenix (PHX)
Sapphire Lounge in Phoenix (PHX) will be located in a new building with eight gates in Terminal 4. This south concourse will be home to Southwest Airlines. The connecting bridge will connect the northern concourses, including the gates occupied by American Airlines.
According to Phoenix Airport board meeting documents, three big players were vying for the 3,500-square-foot lounge: Chase with its Sapphire Lounge, Capital One, and Escape (in partnership with American Express).
Competition for these types of seats at busy airports remains fierce, as evidenced by the number of applicants for that seat. (Note that there are already two Escape salons and a dedicated Centurion Lounge located in Phoenix.)

Location of San Diego (SAN)
In early November 2021, Airport Dimensions (in partnership with Chase) was awarded a contract to build a 11,000 square foot concourse in San Diego’s West Terminal 2.
The Chase Lounge offering outperforms other key competitors including Escape Lounge (in partnership with American Express), Plaza Premium Group, and Aspire Lounge.
The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club will open in November 2023 and feature “local design, local food, drink and art partnerships,” according to the San Diego Airport Authority (SDAA). documentation.
The same documents state that upon completion, the facility will be located at the mezzanine level between gates 46 and 47 and will be part of a 10-year lease with a capital investment of $17.6 million.
Location of Washington Dulles (IAD)
This location will be approximately 5,200 square feet and will be located in Concourse A, according to Washington Business Journal. The area is home to many international airlines flying out of IAD and lounge plans include two levels, with the lower level being the larger of the two. The plans include a bar, dining area, work area, family room, prayer room, and kitchen.
It is worth noting that this location will compete with the planned opening of Capital One Lounge in The Dalles which is scheduled to open in 2023.
Sapphire Terrace in Australia
Again, this is technically not a Sapphire Lounge, but it’s worth emphasizing here. This 5,000-square-foot space is mostly outdoors, offering great aircraft-watching opportunities, but not ideal for hot Austin summers or inclement weather.
The 4,000 square feet of open space offer multiple types of seating, seating, games, and opportunities to watch planes arrive and depart at the airport. Sapphire Terrace offers free drinks and light snacks (including takeaway options) and is located upstairs next to Gate 1 and the Delta SkyClub.
The Sapphire Terrace is not part of the Priority Pass and is only available upon presentation at Chase Sapphire Reserve.
Who can access Chase Sapphire Lounges?
Those who have a Chase Sapphire ReserveJP Morgan backup card or The Ritz-Carlton Credit Card (no longer available to new applicants) as a Master Cardholder or Authorized User have unlimited access to Chase Sapphire Lounges after activating a free Priority Pass membership.
Chase Sapphire Reserve and JP Morgan Reserve cardholders can also invite up to two card guests for free per visit and additional guests for $27. Ritz-Carlton credit card holders can bring an unlimited number of guests at no additional charge.
But you can enter once even if you don’t have one of these cards. Travelers with only Priority Pass Membership may visit one Chase Sapphire Lounge (excluding Austin) per calendar year and purchase additional tickets at an additional cost to be announced.
Beyond simply satisfying cardholders, lounge planning is more and more of a tactic Chase must adhere to in order to stay competitive in an increasingly crowded business environment. premium bonus cards many of which are starting to offer access to more lounges.
The Ritz-Carlton credit card information was collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been verified or provided by the card issuer.
Bottom line
For years, the Amex chain has been owned and operated by Halls of the Centurion was the only major player in the card racing lounge space. In fact, Amex’s Global Lounge collection, which includes Centurion-branded spaces, has taken home Editor’s Choice Award for Best Credit Card Perk at the 2021 TPG Awards.
But there is no doubt that competition among major credit card issuers in airport lounges is intensifying.
