Flight examples
To get a good discount on these flights, you have to play around with fare calendars and destinations. For example, JetBlue offers many rewards if you fly from New York and not Nashville. Here are a few flights under these deals that we especially liked.
JetBlue
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA) to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) starts at 11,200 miles.
- BOS to New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) starting at 18,600 miles.
- Nashville International Airport (BNA) to Miami International Airport (MIA) starting at 19,300 miles.
Southwest
- Denver International Airport (DEN) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) starting at $180.
- Dallas Love Field Airport (DAL) to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting at $299.
- Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) to BNA starting at $332.
Regarding JetBlue flights, we have found that the website sometimes crashes whenever we try to book any flights with a carrier’s premium agreement, so you may need to be patient if you choose to book through JetBlue.
A roundtrip flight from LGA to BOS for under 7,200 miles was one of the best deals we found.
You can even upgrade to Blue Extra for as little as 10,000 miles.
If you decide to make a deal with Southwest, get your air tickets as soon as possible.
Many of the Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus plans have already sold out.
One route with good availability that we discovered was from DAL to FLL, where you could book flights for as little as $155.
If you choose the cheapest fares, you’ll pay no more than $299 for a round-trip flight between Dallas and Fort Lauderdale.
